What encourages the Christian in the walk of faith? Isaiah points out to us the power of the Word of God. As the rain waters the earth and makes it grow, so the Word of God waters the soul of the believer and helps him to grow in life. That is the power of the Word for our lives. It is for that reason that we read, mark, learn and inwardly digest the Word of God. Sat.: LSB, p. 184 Setting 3 Sun. 8:30 a.m.: LSB, p. 203 Setting 4 Sat.
