Pastor's Message

Immanuel Lutheran has a rich heritage of faith in Jesus Christ as God and Lord. We remember His words, You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you. (John 15:16) The people of Immanuel congregation continue to bear the fruit of faith for over 135 years. In the Divine Service God invites us to feast on the bread of heaven. Jesus is that bread which feeds us through the Word and Sacraments with His grace and forgiveness. His grace inspires us to bear the fruit that He has appointed for us. The Word of God inspires music in worship services and various choirs. We study the Word and bless one another in Bible classes and ChristCare groups. We are proud to be a part of Altamont Lutheran Interparish School where children are taught God's Word along with regular studies.

Nurturing children in the Word of God is central to our mission. I encourage you to use the Family Altar, a schedule of Bible readings, hymns, psalms, and Catechism readings for each week of the year. Parents are the most effective teachers of the faith and this resource will help reinforce the message of church and ALIS school into the home.

We invite you to worship with us this weekend.
